Still Life: Pomegranates
Being home for the summer, I've forgotten how fruitful our backyard was. Inspired by the reds, golds, and greens of the fruiting pomegranates, I shot some still life photographs in direct afternoon sunlight, under the spotty shadows of our giant redwood tree.
I find it so refreshing to create a single quality image over quantity. I'm reinspired by a different type of living object, and instead of pushing my aperture to its widest, I went the other way. Something about doing that creates a painterly effect in these photographs, and I'm in love!
