Elan and Calais

Couples are so fun to photograph, but it's hard to do them without resorting to cheesy locations and poses. I sought Vanity Fair for guidance, and fell in love with the black and white photos of Brad and Angelina taken by none other than (my favorite) Peter Lindbergh.

This past weekend I tried to recreate them with Elan and Calais, the cutest couple ever. With a black velvet sweep and a 5' octobox, I shot some intimate couple portraits in a way you'd never see college sweethearts photographed. No stereotypical lovey-dovey gimmicks, just genuine love.

Hope everyone's Valentine's Day is filled with love so meaningful you don't need flowers, cards, and chocolate to prove. :)
