Spring Break 2021
I’ve been working a lot lately. Now that there isn’t a clear division between work and home, my work bleeds into my personal life more than I would like. I want to be good at my job, and so I fall victim to my natural tendency to overwork, and take on more projects, get involved in new initiatives, and say “yes” a little too much. I want to do it all!
Obviously, as you can predict, burnout wasn’t far ahead. I decided to intentionally “miss out” on a week of work and take a roadtrip down to SoCal, guilt-free.
Here are a few snippets from my spring break that I ~intentionally~ chose to spend time doing.
The exciting events shown above happened over the span of just four days, and I spent the rest of the week doing absolutely nothing. It’s so important (physically and mentally) to portion time for rest. There is no point in being busy if you don’t have time to enjoy life.
I’m honestly so happy to just be able to share photos on this blog again. Thanks for bearing through my drawing-in-quarantine phase because I’ve not gone anywhere in over a year. Actually going places, eating out, and taking to kind strangers is an indescribable feeling as our world begins to heal. I’m feeling so inspired by nature, different environments, and I cannot wait to get out in the world and do all the things!
Side note: I recently got the Fujifilm X100V and I LOVE it. The color quality is out of this world. It’s starting to replace my heavy old DSLR for travels and fun shoots, and I’m super excited to share more!
