Statuesque
After an early morning frolicking in the sand, we drove up to my other favorite photoshoot destination, the Legion of Honor. Ever since I laid eyes on this Beaux-Arts beauty a couple years ago, I’ve wanted to shoot dancers that portray movement and lightness in contrast with the heavy stone columns that frame the monumental pavilion. At a museum full of ancient art and sculptures, being able to replicate that artistic expression and the beauty of the human body outside its walls was a vision come true.
The remote Land’s End is stunning on a weekday morning, with ample parking, a cypress tree forest, and magnificent views of the bridge in the distance. It’s so peaceful being away from the hustle and bustle of the dense city, and take a moment to breathe in fresh ocean air, make art, and catch up with a friend.
Anica, you are dancer goals! Thank you for always making time to shoot with me and inspiring me with your flexibility and the way you move. I had so much fun, can’t wait to do this again!
