A city of excitement and of peace, of wonder and hope.
Shannon and I explored The Getty Center, located on the hilltop of the Santa Monica mountains overlooking the 405 freeway. Home to some of the most famous works of Western art, the museum itself is an architectural masterpiece of perfectly proportioned spaces and impeccably framed panoramic views.
As the sun set, luminous California light bounced off the museum's travertine-clad walls, emitting a dazzling orange glow that produced the most breathtaking views.
Just a moment later, the night sky emerged, absorbing every last golden ray, but left us a sea of infinite twinkling city lights.
Los Angeles, you are beautiful beyond words.
