Wintertime Wedding in Pensacola, Florida

I attended a family wedding as a guest last weekend and brought my camera just for fun. Somehow, not only did I get the chance to capture moments from the wedding day, I also directed a quick golden hour shoot the day prior. What a treat. :)

As a fashion photographer, I’ve always been drawn to a great look, and I appreciate how much effort Penny and Chester put into theirs. Both outfits were designed by them and custom-made in China. As long of a process as it took, it all paid off when we gasped at the first sight of Penny’s red tea ceremony gown. It was exquisite.

The actual wedding ceremony took place on the beach at solar noon the next day, but we reconvened at sunset for a sparkler exit moment. A few favorite snaps I snuck as I wove in and out of their actual photographer’s way. I’ve actually come to really love a blurry motion photograph rather than a static one. You can feel the energy in the air and the movement in our collective laughter, knowing that this moment was organic and real.

Penny and Chester love cruises, the beach, and the ocean, and I’m so happy they were able to throw a wedding that combines their favorite things. Thanks for inviting us to your side the world and showing us the softest white sand beaches I’ve sunk my toes into. All the best for your happily ever after!
